The following is a review by Lorrie Irby Jackson,
freelance writer for the Dallas Morning News of The Ladies Night Out Tour Stop
in Grand Prarie TX (near Dallas) on Saturday, 1/26/2008

KEITH SWEAT
------------
GRAND PRAIRIE – Consider the following a public service announcement of sorts: If there is a record number of babies making appearances in the Lone Star State this fall, then it's probably due – at least in part – to the lascivious lovemaking anthems dropped by BBD, Tony! Toni! Tone! and headliner Keith Sweat when they brought their Ladies Night Out Tour to over 3,500 fans at Nokia Theatre on Friday night.

The supertight deadline didn't permit viewing Mr. Sweat's full performance, but the 40-something New York native was in great form and with Memorex-quality vocals when he appeared singing "Something Just Ain't Right" and "Don't Stop the Love." Shedding his black-velvet jacket, he paced the stage and held the hands of admirers as they boomeranged his lyrics right back to him with enthusiasm and verve.

It was a good thing that he closed the show, because in spite of concertgoers being unable to sit until half an hour before showtime, there was obviously very little sound checking done before Tony! Toni! Tone! began (minus Raphael Saadiq) around 7:30. It was a strain to decipher the lyrics over the crackling microphones, but they still received a warm welcome, with fans singing along with "It Never Rains in Southern California," "Feels Good" and "Whatever You Want." Right before "Anniversary," the first of five women accepted invitations by Wayne Wiggins to join him onstage, where she danced against him as he played his guitar behind her. She declined his offer to sing but was joined by the other lucky ladies in dancing until the end of their set.

Bell Biv DeVoe looked like they were fresh from a Right On! magazine centerfold, having aged surprisingly little since their debut as a trio over 17 years ago. Fans remained on their feet the entire time, marveling at their still-synchronized choreography and the fact that the entire New Edition crew had endured for 25 years. There was a promise of a film, tour and CD in the next year, but the fans were more than thrilled with "She's Dope," "BBD (I Thought It Was Me)," "When Will I See You Smile Again" and the closing "Poison."

Aaron Hall of Guy was much more explicit during his time on-stage. Songs like "Goodbye Love," "Piece of My Love" and "I Like" were performed with relish, but his constant use of profanity detracted from the overall performance. Before walking into the audience to sing "Let's Chill," "Don't Be Afraid" and "I Miss You," he removed his shirt and requested a "single freaky lady" to join him for a much-enjoyed spanking. More screams of encouragement (and disbelief) were heard when the next fan was lifted in the air and tilted back with her legs wrapped around Mr. Hall, personifying the concept of Ladies Night Out more than anything else ever would.

-- This refers to the January 26th, 2008 stop of the Ladies Night Out Tour --

TONY TONI TONE

Now you can watch it. Check this out.
It's great and relatively rare look at some of the magic

Check out Aaron during this interlude to "Piece Of My Love."
This clip is definitely a strong PG-13....not for sensitive ears.
