Hall of Fame: Full Force

Full Force (still active) emerged prior to the New Jack Era, but were certainly a part of the movement to bridge R&B music with the swagger of hip-hop. Hailing from Brooklyn, NY - the group consisted of biological brothers B-Fine,  Paul Anthony, and Bowlegged Lou, along with Shy-Shy, Curt T-T, and Baby Gerry.

Known for their wide range of productions for acts such as Lisa Lisa & The Cult Jam ("I Wonder If I Take You Home," "Lost In Emotion,") Samantha Fox ("Naughty Girls," "I Wanna Have Some Fun,"), and UTFO ("Roxanne, Roxanne"),  Full Force was perhaps better known in their heyday for the hits they were making for other artists. However, among era die-hards, this group turned out a number of noteworthy singles, including "Tempory Love Thing," "Friends B-4 Lovers," and the memorable dance song featured in the House Party film only (not the soundtrack), "Ain't My Type of Hype."

Three members of Full Force were featured in House Party I and II, and they were Bow-Legged Lou, B-Fine, and Paul Anthony. By the mid-to-late '90s, Full Force was producing for the Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and Britney Spears during the Cheiron Pop Era, a movement that borrowed heavily from New Jack Swing, but homogenized it for a teen pop audience. The result of this work is one of the Backstreet Boys strongest ballads - "All I Have To Give," a massive hit in 1998.

Full Force continues to remain active on an independent level.
