Timmy Gatling
Timmy Gatling is perhaps best known as the individual who left R&B group Guy right before their success - thus missing out on their success between the years 1988 and 1991. What makes Timmy's situation even more intriguing is his presence on the album cover of Guy's debut album, and his lead vocals on two of the album's songs, one of which ("You Can Call Me Crazy") is easily one of Guy's best songs of all time.
At any rate, Timmy went on to release his solo debut album, entitled "Help!" in 1990. While the album did not manage to break through the charts, Timmy was able to score a hit as a producer/writer with Jasmine Guy's "Another Like My Lover," the second single off of her sole, self-titled album. Timmy Gatling also did some production for Bell Biv Devoe ("When Will I See You Smile Again," "I Do Need You") as well as Christopher Williams.
