New Jack Swing Hall Of Fame:
Stacye & Kimiko
Stacye & Kimiko were originally two-thirds of the short lived, late 80s girl group Sugar Babes, not to be confused with the Brit-Pop group Sugababes who would appear in 2000.
Their sole album, Paradise featured production primarily by Chuckii Booker.
Only two singles were released from this album: "Wait For Me," which acheived light to moderate success, and "R.U. Available," which stalled on the charts.
The sound of Stacye and Kimiko can be best described as Janet Jackson circa Rhythm Nation-esque, and even featured some production contributions from the one and only Karyn White.
