History
As NJS4E continues to grow and celebrate "New Jack Swing and the Soul of Urban Music from the Past, Present and Future," we have had the tremendous fortune of welcoming diverse talents from all over the world into the fold. Keith "Zappman" Crenshaw from Los Angeles, has proven invaluable to the NJS4E mission with his warm personality, welcoming spirit and dedication to meeting with the stars that made this era so fantastic. Steve "Stevieswing" Anderson out of Manchester, U.K. has not only "made" the NJS4E Message Board with his winning personality and great knowledge of urban music, but he also hosts the official NJS4E Radio Show.

Then there's the rest of the forum cast members -- notably Dan, Steven Rogers, DJ Freez (who put together an excellent Top 50 NJS poll - there's probably more to come from this one!) Mello75, 97sbrown2, J-Boy, Bootknockalizer, Tim Partridge, Ricchh, and one of the newest major players at the Message Board, Jodecidal. This saga continues to unfold on a daily basis.

Now we are entering a new chapter. A shift back towards what made NJS4E special in the first place: the writing. And so to set things off in the right direction, we've recruited a phenomenal wordsmith that some of you may already know. Entertainment Weekly magazine has David Browne. Rolling Stone has Peter Travers. The Chicago-Sun Times has Roger Ebert, and now NJS4E has its own star writer.

Recently, one of his reviews (by coincidence, mind you) was singled out by Stevieswing and became the subject of a long thread you can read here. Although I had already been in contact with this star writer before Stevieswing found the review, seeing it pop up on the Message Board only confirmed my opinion that NJS4E and this writer would make an excellent fit.

So then, it brings me great joy to announce that Michael Speed is the newest recruit to NJS4E. Please join me in welcoming Michael on this emerging, global phenomenon that Njs4ever.com has become. Check out the reviews we've posted so far, and let us know what you think. We'll be updating monthly. Thanks for reading and...

...NJS4E!

- Andrew Knyte

Special Note: These reviews are *irreverant* -- Michael Speed has been given free reign to say what he really thinks about the music, and the artists. If you feel that a review has gone 'too far' in any direction, be sure to let us know by hitting the "contact" link @ left. Thank you for reading!
