IKE LEE III



As a creative force, Ike Lee III is a notable figure in the story of New Jack Swing and modern
contemporary urban sounds post 1987. Beginning with this apprenticeship under famed beat-maker Kurtis Mantronik, Ike joined forces with Bryce Wilson on Mantronix projects and more.

By the end of 1992, Ike had worked with on projects for Hi-Five, Marley Marl, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Al B. Sure, and Michael Jackson. Becoming a third of the production team 3 Boyz From Newark, Ike's expert drum programming would also notably be felt on Toni Braxton's "How Many Ways" single, which graced the charts during the summer of 1994.

By the late 90s, Ike contributed to Erykah Badu's groundbreaking Baduizm album, lacing the songs "Apple Tree" and "On & On" with production and vocal production respectively.

These days, Ike is preparing a solo project slated for release in 2007.
